Best Health Tip of 2014

It’s a NEW YEAR! Oh the expectations, oh the resolutions – this is my year, I can feel it. It’s the year chocolate will have no calories, and benching weights will be easy. It’s the year all my cellulite will disappear, and I’ll wake up 3 cm taller.

Today is January 6, and my height/weight has not budged. It’s not fair.

This is all too familiar scenario. We aim for goals that are too ambitious, and give up before january even ends. That’s why I’m dedicating a split post to help avoid this.

So what is it? What it the NO.1 TIP that we should not live without?

The suspense is killing me

Oh wait. I know the answer

As stupid and cliche and ridiculous as this may sound – but the one tip that will motivate you to get healthy, get active AND stay active is FUN. If you don’t enjoy it, it’ll be tossed like last year’s resolutions.

Luckily for you, a recurrent theme in my blog posts last year was about different ways to lose weight, get active and enjoy it in the process. Did you know that even karaoke could help weight loss?

No-Added-Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies!

I was visiting Saudi Arabia a few months back, and came back with some delicious date paste (I’m not sure if/where this is sold in Lebanon as I’ve never looked for any) and ever since I’ve been experimenting with some recipes that call for dates! This brings us to these mouth-watering cookies that have no…

Healthy Low-Carb Bread Like Never Before!

A lot of my hubby’s friends are fans of the high protein/low-carb diet (which I have extensively talked about before, particularly in this post), especially during intense weight-lifting workout days when they find themselves reaching for – gasp – protein shakes (which I am quite adamantly against). This all brings us to an all natural,…

5 Tips to Eating Healthy, on a Strict Budget!

I’m guilty of being someone who calls for more simplicity in our food choices. I’m constantly sharing news about how processed food is only harming us, and how we should stick to “greener” food.
